Studying English at university is quite different to studying English at school, but it might be a good course for you if you like reading books or writing stories. At university you can study a much wider range of texts, from classics like Charles Dickens to much more modern texts like Harry Potter! You might also study plays, poems and creative writing, as well as looking at the different things which might have had an impact on the text, such as the time period and culture it was written in and the author. As part of your degree you might get the opportunity to do some work placements too, which let you practise jobs that you might want to do in the future.
