Law is known as being one of the hardest courses you can study at university but is also very popular. Law is the study of the legal system and as a student, you would look at all different parts of the law such as family law (marriages and divorce), criminal law, human rights law and many more. You would look at why laws exist, how they work and how they might develop and change. You would also look at famous law cases that have been in the news and caused changes in the law.

As a law student you would attend lectures and seminars and have big textbooks to read. You might also get to have mock trials in your degree where you and other students would be able to use what you’ve learnt to debate a case, which is great practice if you want to become a barrister or a solicitor when you graduate.
