Veterinary science students are studying to become a vet. They will be learning about how to look after different types of animals, like cats, dogs and even farm animals like cows, pigs and horses. They will look at how their bodies work in different ways, how to give injections and tie bandages, how to spot illnesses and disease and how to treat them.

Vet students will spend some time in lectures but also lots of time in vet practices, practicing on real animals alongside qualified vets! During their final year, University of Liverpool students spend their time on Leahurst campus which is a nearby farm where they can put all of this into practice and work on large animals before they graduate.
